# Boot2ipxe - Raspberry Pi ARM64

The generated sdcard image provides an EFI-compatible bootloader, stored on an
MBR partition table containing a 16MB FAT16 ESP partition which itself contains
the iPXE EFI binary.

This image is supported on the Raspberry Pi 2-4 (including the CM3/4), with the
Raspberry Pi 5 being explicitly unsupported due to poor support for the RP1 chip
in U-Boot.

## Supported kernels

This target only supports upstream Linux kernels by default, such as the ones
found in [boot2container releases](https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/gfx-ci/boot2container/-/releases).

## Flashing

This image is intended to be flashed on an sdcard drive using the following
command:

    # dd if=${OUTPUT_IMG} of=${DEVICE} bs=1M conv=fsync status=progress
